Rebekah Miller, M.A., LMFT
Rebekah completed her master of arts degree in marriage and family therapy from St. Mary’s University and has been doing outpatient therapy since 2010. Rebekah specializes in working with individuals and couples who are coping with trauma, relationship distress, and sexual concerns. Rebekah approaches therapy in a collaborative and solution-focused way. This means that she takes time to understand individual and relationship goals and then actively teams up with clients to help them reach them. She believes that clients have the strength to overcome their challenges. With compassion, non-judgment, honesty, and humor, she helps clients access their strengths so that they can thrive.
Rebekah frequently uses specialized trauma treatments Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Somatic Experiencing (SE) in her therapy. Rebekah loves to learn and is currently obtaining supervision and education toward becoming certified in sex therapy. She is a member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapists (AAMFT) and the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors, and Therapists (AASECT).
Rebekah is adjunct faculty for the Marriage and Family Therapy Graduate Program at St. Mary’s University. She is a founding member and facilitator of Camp Gratitude (began in 2011), which is a free, week-long resilience-building vacation for military families. In her work, Rebekah draws on personal experiences as a wife, a mother, a twice-deployed veteran of the Army National Guard, a pastor’s daughter, a sister to 3 brothers, and a committed friend.
