Realistic optimism?

We all can be optimistic. But it must be tempered. Excessive optimism can cause problems like failure to recognize risks.  There always needs to be a mixture of realism with an optimistic outlook…especially avoid optimism if it means ignoring signs of real issues. Face reality a positive outlook, but recognize real issues and threats when making personal or professional decisions.


Some people are better at gliding through life’s obstacles both personally and professionally. Productive optimism is a key tool to use when we need to overcome adversity to get on with life.
