Hans C. Skulstad
Hans received his master’s degree in Counseling Psychology and Post Masters Certificate in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of St. Thomas. He is an experienced therapist who has benefited from a large range of professional roles. He has experiences as an in home family and outpatient therapist, MN Board Approval and AAMFT approved supervisor, small business owner, professor and as a leader in his profession. Life experiences such as being a parent, coach, athlete, uncle, and a friend have influenced the work he does with clients. Past clients often comment that his down to earth approach made it easy to learn the things they needed to do to make changes in their life.

Jennie Gorres
Jennie earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Eau-Claire. She went on to receive to receive a Master of Science Degree in Child Development and Family Science/Marriage and Family Therapy from North Dakota State University. She has experience working in a community mental health clinic, doing in-home family therapy, providing services at an outpatient clinic, and currently founding her own practice. She also works with students and beginning therapists in teaching and supervisory roles. An active member in the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists, and is an Approved Supervisor in that organization. She has been licensed to provide therapy by the Minnesota Board of Marriage and Family Therapy for many years as well as approved to provide supervision to therapists applying for Minnesota licensure. Jennie was raised in a large, close-knit, spiritual family that molded her values and approach to working with people. She specializes in working with children, adolescents, couples and adults dealing with issues as life changes, family changes, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, attention deficit disorder, and abuse/trauma.

Nicholas Newstrom
Nicholas completed a Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from St. Mary’s University and is in the process of finishing a doctoral degree at the University of Minnesota.
He has practiced in a variety of settings including inpatient, outpatient and state programs for over 6 years. Nicholas has worked with many kinds of people regarding a plethora of issues but he specializes in working with adolescents and adults working through anxiety, depression and trauma. In addition, he also has expertise helping couples through general relationship difficulties and sexual issues.
Nicholas believes that people seek therapy when they feel lost and disconnected. He believes that we all also possess the natural capacity to heal. Working from a collaborative approach, Nicholas looks forward to helping you meet your life goals.
